That May is Motorcycle Awareness Month?  Honda Marysville Motorsports want to make sure we emphasize the importance of motorcycle safety this riding season as we want you to have a memorable year!

Get Your Bike Ready

• Test the lights, brakes, and turn signals.
• Check the oil and fuel levels.
• Make sure the mirrors are positioned correctly.
• Check the cables to make sure they aren’t worn or frayed.
• Lube the chain and adjust it according to the manufacturer’s specs.
• Try a rider-training course to brush up on your skills.

Get Yourself Some Good Gear

• Pick a good high-quality helmet and make sure it fits.
• Make sure you wear goggles or glasses with safety lenses.
• Wear non-slip gloves.
• Grab a good pair of boots or shoes to protect your ankles.
• Leather anyone…make sure to invest in a good leather jacket and some durable pants.

Riding on the Open Road

• Use your signals.
• Wear a helmet that fits.
• Know your limits as well as your bikes.
• Brake smart…slow and steady.
• Don’t get too close to other vehicles.

Spring is here and it’s time to think about “Spring Cleaning” your bike.  Whether you bring it into our service department here at Honda Marysville Motorsports or you do it yourself, it’s important to make sure it’s ready to ride!

Spring Cleaning Tips:

• Check battery terminals
• Check, charge, or install the battery
• Check oil and other lubricants
• Check cables and lub with specified lubricants
• Check tire pressure and wear
• check drive belt, chain, or shaft
• Check all lights and operation of each
• Check brake fluid level and pads/shoes for wear
• Wash or apply pre-wash your ride
• Dry or apply an after wash product
• Apply leather treatment to leather
• Polish and wax all chrome and painted parts
• Clean inside of helmet with mild soap
